In this lesson we learn how to play the G major chord on the piano
The G Major Chord is made up of three white notes: G, B, and D. D is the easiest note to find, so we’ll start there.
Look for the groups of two black notes. The D is the white note in between the two black notes. Put your right hand pinky on the D. Once your pinky is in place, put each of your fingers, including the thumb, on the white notes below the pinky, so each of the fingers have their own white note without skipping over any white notes. Your thumb is on G, your middle finger is on B, and your pinky is already on D. Press your thumb, middle, and pinky fingers down to (G, B, and D) to play the G Major Chord. Watch the video for more tips on locating each of the notes.
